We’re updating the wording of the questions to more accurately reflect the behaviour experienced in your games.
In line with the release of the Standards of behaviour and Grassroots codes in August 2024, references to ‘Respect guidelines’ in the green responses will be replaced with ‘Standards of Behaviour’, bringing the Standards to the forefront and showcasing their importance in the match day environment.
The wording of the questions will be updated to more accurately represent the behaviour experienced and improves the data that leagues use when looking at Respect Marks.
Wording of the first question will change from “How would you describe the behaviour shown on the pitch today? Think about players from both teams towards each other and match officials” to “How would you describe the behaviour that the opposition showed on the pitch today? Think about behaviour towards other players and match officials”
Wording of the second question will change from “How would you describe the behaviour shown around the pitch today? Please consider all coaches and spectators” to “How would you describe the behaviour that the opposition showed around the pitch today? Think about behaviour towards other coaches, spectators and match officials”
Please consider this when completing your Respect Marks this season.
