COUNTY CUP

Coalville Town Ravens met Allexton & New Parks at Holmes Park for the Final with both looking to win the 1st piece of silverware on offer this season, with Allexton coming out on top in a comfortable 7-0 victory. Allexton started the brightest with Billy Clarke giving them the lead and this soon became 2 when Brandon Jarrett netted. Further goals from Will Hill and Jack Allen gave Allexton a 4-0 lead at half time. The 2nd half started much the same as the 1st, and Allexton were given the opportunity to make it 5-0 when they were awarded a penalty. Jack Allen picked the ball up but after some consultation Billy Clarke was given the ball, however the Coalville keeper hadn’t read the script and pulled off a super save to deny Clarke and keep the score at 4-0. Oliver Kaletha soon made it 5-0 and then Clarke made amends when he bagged his 2nd to make it 6-0 and soon after Will Hill made it 7-0 with his 2nd of the game. The celebrations started as soon as the final whistle was heard and carried on for the rest of the evening. Congratulations go to Allexton & New Parks as they now look to complete a title winning season as well.
