Notice – Regarding Handbooks

The Committee of the Yorkshire Old Boys’ Shield Cup Competition chose to produce a Handbook for the current season. The main reason was to recognise the support and co-operation of the then Yorkshire Old Boys’ League, now Yorkshire Amateur League, since the competition was founded in 1955. It was felt particularly important to recognise that the formation of the league was in 1928. As such it was considered to be a commendable achievement to celebrate its existence for ninety years.

The Handbook contains information relating to the current formation of the League and its history. There are a limited number of copies available for any referee, players and member of affiliated clubs. The cost of postage is £1.30 and we request that upon receipt individuals donate a minimum of £3 to a charity of their personal choice.
