Hasland clinch Division 1 title, Alma Cup and Derbyshire Senior Cup

Day and Co Alma Cup Final

Hasland 3-1 Brampton Rovers (a e t)

Hasland completed a magnificent treble at Chesterfield FC's Proact Stadium on Friday night as they beat Brampton Rovers after extra time to add the Alma to their Derbyshire Senior Sunday Cup win and First Division NAPIT title.

After an even first half Hasland took the lead early in the 2nd through Mark Houghton who found the back of Rovers net with a left foot volley into the bottom corner from around 10 yards. However Brampton were soon back on level terms when Josh Aitken's superb 25 yard strike flew into the top corner. The rest of the half failed to provide a winning goal and so the game moved into extra time.

It was Hasland who regained the lead in the first half of extra time as Lee Clay powered a header into the Rovers net, Gaz Davey supplying the cross. With time running out Rovers pushed forward looking for an equaliser inevitably leaving themselves vulnerable to a counter attack and the game was wrapped up for Hasland as they burst forward, Ant Lynam racing on to a Matt Smith through ball before applying a clinical finish to complete a memorable win.
