COUNTY CUP

Allexton & New Parks are the first team to reach the semi final after a close encounter against GNG Elite Development. This tie went the full distance as neither team could be separated but both had the chances to win. The game finished 0-0 which brought about an extra 30 minutes, only to finish 0-0, and so to the dreaded penalty shoot out in which Allexton striker, Jack Allen, became the hero. With the Allexton keeper sustaining an injury midway through the game, Jack stepped up and became the stand in keeper for the rest of the game, playing as he had always played in that position, stopping everything that GNG could throw at him. However, he became the hero of the night as he helped Allexton to a 3-1 penalty shoot out victory, scoring one and brilliantly saving two.

NORTHERN DIVISION

Desford got back to winning ways as they inflicted a 6-1 defeat on Ashby Ivanhoe. Liam Bloxham (2), Zach Sault, Joe Wright, Cameron Wood and Clinton Mbilinyi for Desford with Finley Kemp getting Ashbys’ consolation.

SOUTHERN DIVISION

Harborough Town had a narrow 3-2 victory over Allexton & New Parks Eagles. Josh Bott (2) and Jarrod Gregory for Harborough with Cain Beckett and Mohammed Al Jaf replying for the Eagles. Aylestone Parks’ winning run continued as they inflicted a 4-1 defeat onto St Andrews. Jake Wormleighton, Tim Akinola, Kieran Cooper and Keenan Muganda for the Park with Pele Molyneaux getting the Andrews consolation.
