Week Commencing Monday 18th April 2016

MONDAY 18th APRIL 2016
NORTHERN DIVISION
Gresley maintained their title charge with a 3-2 away win over near neighbours Ashby Ivanhoe. Harry Hughes (2) and Zaki Evans for the young Moatmen with Jack Hoult and Matty Furniss replying for Ashby.
SOUTHERN DIVISION
St Andrews and Harborough Town, the 2 main challengers for the title, met at Canal Street and it was Harborough who returned home with the points after securing a 1-0 victory thanks to Josh Bott strike. With the Andrews having only 1 game left to play and Harborough having 2 to go, it could mean that if both teams win their remaining fixtures they will be tied at the top on the same points. If this happens and with goal difference now not taken into consideration the League for the 1st time in its’ history will have to have a play off to determine the Divisional Champions.

WEDNESDAY 20th APRIL 2016
NORTHERN DIVISION
Ibstock United travelled to take on Anstey Nomads in their final game of the season and were defeated 4-1. Luke and Jack Samples, Sam Marshall and Cameron Hardy for the Nomads with Kallum Stanton replying for Ibstock.
SOUTHERN DIVISION
Harborough Town defeated Thurmaston Magpies 2-0 with Josh Bott and Joel Konteh scoring. St Andrews travelled to take on Leicester Nirvana in their final League game and returned home with the points in a 5-1 victory. It was not easy at first as Nirvana took the lead through Devon Livingstone but goals from Micah Stewart, Callum Timperley, Sergio Dhillion, Jamie York and Tristian Atkinson saw the Andrews across the line. With both Harborough and St Andrews winning the title is now in the hands of Harborough, who need to win their final game of the season at home to Leicester Nirvana to go to a Play Off. If a Play Off is required, this will take place on Wednesday 4th May at Holmes Park with a 7pm kick off.
