In what is shaping up to be a four way race for the Go2 Day West Cheshire League's Division One title, Mossley Hill Ath. bolstered their challenge to win the championship for the first time, after they posted an 11-0 result over Capenhurst Villa. A four goal contribution from Connor Anderson was supplemented by doubles from Owen Cassidy and Nathan Peet with further efforts from Liam Bott, Caleb Jones and Callum Smith completing the scoreline, as second placed Mossley remained five points adrift of current pacesetters, Maghull, with three games in hand, WRITES ERNIE MCDONALD.
A depleted fixture programme failed to deter Maghull from recording their fourteenth win of the season, when efforts from Darren Brannigan (2) Harrison Worden and Jacob Till anchored the leaders to a 4-0 win at Litherland Remyca Res., while third placed FC Bootle stayed firmly in contention, thanks to a 4-0 decision over Chester Nomads, confirmed by efforts from Dylan Westerside(2), Jacob Jones and Joe Tynan. Honours were shared after an effort from Helsby Res.' Tom Brady was negated by a reply from Rainhill Town Res.' Kyle Ferguson.
