Tel Pateman, another hat-trick for the goal machine...

Tuesday's action...

Unity Nirankari kept up their challenge with a thrashing of MH Goldsmith on Tuesday. If they beat Dun Cow in their penultimate game, it’ll set up a title-decider.

MBDA looked to be dropping crucial Division Two points when Ashley Kersey’s terrific header was cancelled out by Old Town Wetherspoons’ Gary Baker, who played a superb one-two and finished well. However, after the hour mark, Kersey went on to complete a hat-trick whilst Gary Hodgson and Craig Sutherill fired in good strikes, Jake Tyler smashed home his first for the club and Liam Boon also netted a rare goal as the Spoons tired.

SCS’ hopes of catching Broadhall Reserves at the top of Division Three took a knock as they were held to a draw against Stevenage Colts Old Boys Reserves in a game of two own goals.

Tuesday saw Dave Pateman (two), Benn Evans, Ricky Mait, Daniel Corns, Corey Cooper and an own goal net as Highwayman strolled to victory against Stevenage Old Town in Division Four.

Anthony Rowe, Dannie Reeves and Tomas Kiernan netted as Marquis Rangers beat Bedwell Rangers on Sunday, Luke Smith and Myles Hamilton replied.

A little bit of history was created on as the first ever 'all Broadhall' competitive match took place. Division Four lads Broadhall 'A' defied the odds and took a lead inside half-an-hour when Michael Emmings managed to reach Will Harris' long clearance and his excellent cross was met by Paul Hancock. The second-half was closely contested throughout and with just over five minutes to play, Gary Hillard equalised for Broadhall. Nevertheless, the three-goal lead was too much. They’ll have to see if they’ve made the last four, although it looks as if Hillard’s strike could’ve dented their hopes as they missed out on third place on goals scored and could now be overhauled by any of three sides.

In the other tie, Probuild gave themselves a chance of a semi-final spot whilst knocking out King Pin United. Terry Pateman (hat-trick), Steve Skinner, Gary Pomfret and Adam McKenzie were on target as they were three-up in twenty minutes. Pin bounced back when Sam Wager powered home a header and from a corner three minutes later they were level overall when Derek McGivern bundled the ball over the line. Unfortunately for them, the Premier side’s strength showed in the second-half as the pulled away in a good competitive game.
