FA YOUTH CUP

Not a good competition week for our clubs as all but 1 fell at the second hurdle. Loughborough Dynamo were the only side to progress as they had a comfortable 6-2 victory over New Mills with Bill Snaith (3), Dan Tuck, Morgan Schuler and Kieran Riddell getting on the score sheet. Ashby Ivanhoe were defeated 6-1 by Alfreton Town with Dion Robinson getting the consolation goal. Leicester Nirvana travelled to face Boston United and by all accounts were the better side, but left with a 1-0 defeat and St Andrews suffered a 5-0 home defeat at the hands of Bottesford Town.
Leicester Road, the other County side in the competition suffered a 2-1 away defeat at Kimberley Miners Welfare.
Loughborough Dynamo now face a trip to take on Boston United.

NORTHERN DIVISION

Allexton & New Parks hosted Mansfield Town and took the points in a 3-1 victory with Matt Dennis (2) and Billy Clarke being the scorers. Thomas Gledhill scoring for the young Stags. Gresley hosted Desford and ran out 5-3 victors with Jordan Lees (2), Zak Hill, McKlean Durdley and Owen Judd all hitting the target with Liam Bloxham, Kyran Wilcox and Madison Murrell replying for Desford.

SOUTHERN DIVISION

Harborough Town travelled to face their local rivals, Oadby Owls, and returned home with the points with a comfortable 6-0 victory. Josh Bott and George Evans both bagging a brace with Jarrod Gregory and George Ball also scoring. GNG Elite Development had a 4-2 victory over Allexton & New Parks Eagles with Ben Tansley (2), Jack Samples and Shivang Odedra scoring. The Eagles scorers were Kane Barrs and Carlos Rodrigues. Lutterworth Athletic hosted their sister side, Lutterworth Athletic Academy and had a convincing 8-1 victory with Paul Chisholm bagging himself 5 with Aston King (2) and Jack Astil being the other goalscorers.
