Wensleydale started well against the older team with good earlier pressure from both wide midfield players with Bradley Spinks and Josh King creating a number of chances for both strikers Fergus Chapman and Connor Preston only to be denied by the Catterick keeper.
Jake Leigh-howarth broke the deadlock after 12minutes with a great volley on the turn(1-0).
Good defensive work from Ross Thwaite and Paul Armsworth and holding midfield play from Brandon Acton allowed Jake Leigh-Howarth to push forward to join the strikers and soon it was 2-0 with a cool finish from Connor Preston (2-0).
More pressure from Wensleydale and it was (3-0) after 18 minutes with a strike from 18 yards from Fergus Chapman.
In the second period Wensleydale made 11 changes and Catterick took advantage with an early reply to make it (3-1)
Catterick continued to pressure and got their second after 30 minutes to make it (3-2).
Wensleydale rallied again and came back with a quick reply with a great finish from Jack Wrathmall slotting past the keeper to make (4-2) to the away team.
Great play from Ryan Alderson and Ben Fawcett in the final period putting more pressure on the Catterick keeper which allowed Fergus to get his second and make the final score 5-3 to Wensleydale.
