Statement issued by WRFA regarding Grassroots Football & Covid-19

Please see below statement issue to WTFL Yesterday.

Dear Andrew (Wharfedale Triangle League)

Hope you are well and managing to stay safe during what is a strange time for all of us.
We wanted to make you aware of the statement that has just been released by the FA regarding the conclusion of the 19/20 season, in particular Grassroots Football and Step 7 Football.

In brief;
1. The FA and NLS Steps 3 to 6 have reached a consensus that their 2019/20 season will now be brought to an end, and all results will be expunged. This will mean no promotion or relegation of clubs between NLS Steps 3 to 6, and no promotion to NLS Step 2.

These decisions will also apply to the Leagues and clubs who play at NLS Step 7.
2. The FA has decided that all grassroots football is concluded for the 2019/20 season. This will allow the game to move forward and to commence planning for next season.

I am sure that there will be a lot of questions you are wanting to ask, please email your questions to the league secretary, please do not contact individual members of the committee or your question may not be answered.
We will collate these over the coming week and then discuss within the committee
