I am pleased to announce that following the consultation with clubs regarding Junior Football and the announcement of the new structure, the following fixtures releases will be announced:
Un-played Fixtures for the Summer/Autumn U11, U12, U13 & U14 Development Groups
The following fixtures will be cancelled/deleted:
• All postponed fixtures from September – December 2023 will be cancelled.
• All un-played fixtures in 2023 for these groups will be deleted and replaced with the fixtures, based on the new fixture structure (odd/even).
Fixtures for January 2023:
Fixtures for next month are now live and you will shortly receive notifications from Full-Time and via the Matchday App.
Fixtures for February 2023 and beyond:
The competition will aim to have these finalised and released by Monday 9 January 2022 via Full-Time.
Fixtures for U15, U16 & U18 Divisions:
The next structure for U15 & U18 divisions will be decided once sufficient games have been played and the teams will be split into two divisions (a further communication will be issued in 2023). The Competition is currently reviewing all fixtures for these age groups with an aim to reduce any overlaps, on a best endeavours basis.
Please ensure that you discard any existing excel spreadsheets or lists and the Full-Time website will show the active and live status of fixtures.
Postponement Requests:
The competition have received 60 fixture postponement requests since beginning of November 2023 and 20 were for weather related issues. We We are entering a time of the year of unpredictable weather and also closer to the end of the season, therefore the opportunity to reschedule matches for non-weather related reasons will be limited. Please consider this when make postponement requests.
U11, U12, U13 & U14 Development Group Fixtures:
If a team(s) cannot fulfil a development fixture, the following contacts need to be notified asap and ideally with as much notice as possible:
• All Team Managers (details are on the notification from Full-Time)
• fixtures@jerseyfa.com
• appointments@jerseyfa.com
A few things to note:
• If you are playing on a Government of Jersey or Jersey Cricket facility, the Club(s) that have initiated the postponement, may still be charged for the hire of the facility.
• Cancelling at short notice may impact referee appointments and also potentially a referee mentor, so please take this into consideration.
• The Competition will not automatically re-arrange postponed development fixtures and if a Club wishes to re-organise the match, this can be arranged between the Team Managers, with notification to fixtures@jerseyfa.com.
U15, U16 & U18 + All Cup Games, for Any Age Group:
Any requests to postpone these fixtures need to be referred to fixtures@jerseyfa.com with a full rationale, at least 4 days before the fixture (Rule 20A). For any of these fixtures to be postponed will require agreement by the Competition and both Clubs. Any matches not providing this required notice, please provide the notifications , as per the development group fixtures so all involved are aware and this will result with a walkover to the opposition, except in the event of exceptional circumstances or events outside the control of both teams (e.g. inclement weather.)
If you have any questions or queries, please contact fixtures@jerseyfa.com.
