OXFORDSHIRE U14 2-2 HAMPSHIRE U14


Oxfordshire opened their under 14 South West counties league campaign with an excellent 2-2 draw against a very strong Hampshire team at Wantage Town FC. Oxfordshire took the lead with a 25 yard strike from Kieran Day, but Hampshire equalised just before half time. Oxfordshire regained the lead in the second half when a quick passing move involving several players ended with a clean strike from William Morgan, but Hampshire salvaged a point with a second goal five minutes from time. Oxfordshire have to play Cornwall (away), Berkshire (away) and Dorset (home) in the league, and travel to Essex in the national inter-county competition on Saturday 4th November.
