FOOTWEAR AT ALL WARRINGTON VENUES

To bring policy into line at all venues under the control of Warrington Borough Council, we have been notified that with immediate effect, the footwear rules applying to all venues has been changed as follows.

FOOTWEAR PERMITTED AT ALL VENUE’s

Training Shoes and Astro boots – are the only types of footwear permitted.

FOOTWEAR NOT PERMITTED AT ALL VENUE’s
BLADES, ELONGATED (CO-JOINED), SCREW IN STUDS & MOULDED STUDS.

The increased friction area caused by such footwear when a player turns is likely to cause more damage to both the playing surface and the player involved which is why they are not permitted.

PLEASE NOTE IF YOU ARE IN ANY DOUBT, TAKE TRAINING SHOES TO THE VENUE AS WELL AS YOUR NORMAL FOOTWEAR IN CASE THE REFEREE INSTRUCTS YOU TO CHANGE YOUR FOOTWEAR.

REFEREE’S ARE INSTRUCTED TO STOP ANY PLAYER FROM PLAYING IF THEY ARE WEARING INCORRECT FOOTWEAR.
