This is The FA's Safeguarding Teams information regarding their Play Safe Weekend which is scheduled to take place 1st October 2023
We hope that EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE has already started thinking about how you will support Play Safe this season, raising greater awareness of the safeguarding practice and culture throughout your league.
PLAY SAFE CAPTAINS’ ARMBANDS AND PIN BADGES
We are providing clubs direct with Play Safe armbands for youth team captains to wear and a Play Safe pin badge for youth team coaches. These are being provided to every affiliated youth team. There are c90,000 on the way so clubs will be receiving them soon, if they haven’t already.
NEW! PLAY SAFE PLEDGE
This season we are asking clubs/leagues at every level of the game, (and individuals if they wish) to tell us what you are planning. Simply click on the link below to share what your league will be doing to help make a difference this Play Safe weekend and beyond.
If you’ve not yet decided, why not check out the Play Safe Pledge link to see some examples of what you could do:

If you want to include your own league logo alongside Play Safe then please open the ‘Editable Assets’ folder as these will enable you to create bespoke materials.
There is also an editable Play Safe article should you wish to make use of it and/or add a quote of your own.
And finally, ahead of the weekend itself, we will send you a short film for use on your website and/or on social media.
Many thanks in advance for being an active part of the Play Safe weekend 2023 and helping create an ever-safer culture across every level of the game in England.
