The championship edges back to Kirby Muxloe.
A midweek 2-2 draw by 2nd placed Barrow Town at Saffron Dynamo moved the championship edge back to Kirby Muxloe who command a 2 point gap at the top and have a game in hand.
The status quo was maintained after Kirby won 0-2, with a goal in each half, at Thurmaston Town and Barrow eased past Birstall Utd 3-4 after Steve Conway notched a brace for the home side.
A brace from Aaron Spencer helped Hinckley Downes to a 2-4 away win at St Andrews and back in to 3rd spot whilst Saffron Dynamo were sidelined after their pitch was declared unfit on Saturday.
A Scot Mooney double ended the topsy turvey schedule at Bardon Hill Sports and Holwell Sports posted the 3 points with a 3-5 away win, after being 0-2 up and 3-2 down at half time.
Ellistown continued their recent run of good form with a 5-0 midweek defeat of bottom placed Thurnby Rangers, after both Kev Dunne and Andy Rutherford netted a pair apiece, and at the weekend with a 1-1 draw at Anstey Nomads that put them back in to the top 6.
Blaby and Whetstone Athletic, who remain the bottom club of the 10 applying for promotion to the new step 6 league, got back to winning ways with a 2-0 defeat of Thurnby Rangers after a goal in each half and Rothley Imps ended a run of 2 defeats with a 2-0 victory over Highfield Rangers, who stay out of the bottom 2 on goal difference.
