COUNTY CUP
Last seasons’ winners, Leicester Road, fell at the first hurdle as they were beaten on their own patch, 2-0 by St Andrews who had Jarred Rydquist and Lewis Johnson to thank. Lutterworth Athletic travelled to face Oadby Town and were comfortably beaten, 5-2, with Paul Chisholm grabbing both of the Athos goals. McCauley Kenny, Riley Kerr and Dominic Ford ensured Thurmaston Town a place in the next round as defeated Loughborough Dynamo, 3-1. Harborough Town won 1-0 away at Allexton & New Parks thanks to a Joel Konteh strike. Anstey Nomads had a 3-0 home win over Coalville Town thanks to Oliver Smith (2) and Jack Samples. Ashby Ivanhoe entertained local rivals Ibstock United and booked their place in Round 2 with a 5-1 victory. Matty Furniss (2), George Clamp, Ryan McMenamin and an own goal for the Ivanhoe with Ibstocks’ reply coming from an own goal. For the 2nd successive week, Aylestone Park entertained St Andrews V75 with the outcome being the same as Aylestone had a 6-0 victory. Bruno Capella (2), Mitchell Fairhurst (2), Arjun Hundall and Owen Pryor doing the damage this week. The game between Saffron Dynamo and Leicester Nirvana will now go to be adjudicated on by County FA as this was called off.
The next Round is scheduled to be played on Wednesday 4th November 2015
NORTHERN DIVISION
Only one fixture took place and that saw Gresley on the road again to face Mansfield Town. Goals from Owen Judd and Harry Lansdowne ensured that Gresley returned home with the points in a 2-1 victory with Nyle Blake replying for the Stags.
