Postponed ties in the Trinity Trophy and County Cup Fixture
After last weeks cancelation of two Trinity Trophy ties, they were rescheduled for Sunday which did cause the cancelation of several League Fixtures, and with Friendship F C away in the Lincolnshire Sunday County Cup there was something of a shortage of League Fixtures played. Friendship F C travelled to Scunthorpe to play the unbeaten Ashby First and in a throughly effecient and professional performance they were victorious by 3 goals to 1, there is no doubt that when they have their full squad available they are a match for any team in the County and they will await the draw for the next round with confidence. The two outstanding ties in the Trinity Tropohy produced convincing victories for Half Moon F C and Hoirse &^ Jockey, Half Moon were always going to be too strong for Trinity Supporters Club o35s and the 8 goals to 1 win was as coinvincing as the scoreline would suggest and Half Moon F C are quite capable of going all the way to tyhe Final. Horse & Jockey enjoying a good season in Division 2 jujst proved to be too good for a resilent Rose & Crown who played very well but in the end went down by 3 goals to nil, a result that keeps the winning run of Horse & Jockey intact. In Division 1 after several weeks without their strongest team Tickhill F C returned to their best form to defeat a M U S C team by 8 goals to 1 to show that on their day Tickhill are capable of giving all teams a game. In Division 2 Owston Ferry Sports Club enhanced their position at the top of the table with a very convincing 8 goals to 2 win at Marshalls F C and they will on this form be the team to beat in this Division. In Division 3 the two leading teams were both held to draws so very little has changed at the top although Ingleby Arms are now top on goal difference. A very unusual nil nil draw at Bridon A F C Reserves saw the 100% record of Ingleby go but they are still unbeaten and look a good bet for a title challenge.
