All 3 Divisions produced games where goalmouth action was the norm.

High scoring games across all 3 Divisions made for entertaining local football.
In Division 1 Hilltop Raptors continue to impress with a squad of experience mixed with promising youth and they were far too strong for a White Lion team that are never the easiest to defeat, but a compelling attacking performance by the Hilltop team saw them stay top of the Division after a 7 goals to 2 victory. Current Champions and County Cup Champions Friendship FC had to dig deep to defeat a resolute Kings Arms Haxey FC team that certainly made life difficult for the all conquering Friendship FC team, a final score of 4 goals to 1 perhaps does not do justice to the Kings team. Friendship however as is the normal find ways to win games when not always at their best. Rose & Crown travelled to East Markham to play the Nottinghamshire team and a very entertaing game saw Rose & Crown win by 3 goals to 1 to enhance their good start to the season thus far..
In Division 2 new boys Kings Arms Clarborough BAFC have the look of Champions even at this early point in the season a resounding 6 goals to nil victory over a Gringley Celtics team that in no way is easy to defeat. On this form Kings Arms are a good bet for honours in the Division. Previously unbeaten Friendship FC Reserves were well beaten by a very impressive Bridon AFC by 5 goals to 2 and on this showing Bridon could very much be a force in the 2nd Division. Blue Bell Rangers who have yet to taste victory gave everything at home to AFC Moorgate and maybe on another day could have taken something from the game, Moorgate just showing better finishing when it mattered to win by 2 goals to nil. M U S C have made their best start to a season for some time and a very impressive 6 goals to nil defeat of a Walkeringham team that had made a good start themselves fully reflects just how well M U S C played.
Division 3 was a Division absolutely full of goals and the 5 games produced 42 goals highly entertaining football. League leaders with a 100% record are Elm Cottage and a 7 goals to 1 win over Bridon AFC Reserves only went to show the strength of the Gainsborough team and 7 wins from 7 puts them firmly at the top of the table. Babworth Rovers Blue sit 2nd but they had to settle for a point after a remarkable 5 goals each draw with fellow Retford team Ship Inn Lions a quite remarkable end to end game with both teams creating chances a plenty. Babworth Rovers Yellow sit 3rd after the narrowest of victories at Kings Arms Haxey FC Reserves,3 goals to 2 in Babworth Rovers Yellow favour could have gone either way both teams giving good performances. Thonnock Rangers who have not played many gams not especially their fault recorded a 5 goals to 4 home win against a luckless Otter FC who might so easily have taken at least a point from the game. Thonnock Rangers have won all their League games so far. Owston Ferry SC who seem to have a good week followed by a bot so good but on Sunday they went goal crazy against a Canutes FC team that was at times overrun and the 8 goals to 2 score probably reflected just that. As we now enter the winter season this is a plea to all Clubs to play games on the allotted dates and only cancel in emergencies.
