COUNTY CUP

Allexton & New Parks hosted Oadby Owls and made their intentions known right from the start, however the Oadby keeper hadn’t read the script as he made numerous outstanding saves from the Allexton forwards as they peppered the goal. He was finally beaten as Connor Burrows put Allexton 1-0 up. Oadby levelled before half time through a fine volley from Jordan Clarke. The second half started the same way with Allexton on the front foot and limiting Oadby to rare breaks. Oadby then showed that they were up for the fight as they came more into the game and were unlucky not to take the lead. Allexton then killed the game off with 3 more goals in a 10 minute spell with Billy Clarke bagging a brace and Brandon Jarrett also getting on the score sheet to put Allexton into a 4-1 lead. On this showing, the young Oadby side impressed the crowd and with a little more experience at this level, will go far.
Leicester Nirvana hosted GNG Elite Development and went down 3-1 with Ben Tansley (2) and Harry Schofield scoring for GNG with Rahul Parmar replying for Nirvana. Allexton & New Parks Eagles had a 4-2 away win at Leicester Road with Cain Beckett (2), Kane Barrs and Mohammed Al Jaf scoring. Lutterworth Athletic hosted Aylestone Park Leicester Elite and booked their place in the next round with a 2-1 victory. Paul Chisholm and Cameron Weston scoring for the Athos. St Andrews hosted Harborough Town and went out 2-1 after extra time. Nathan Makamu put the Andrews 1-0 up and with the last kick of the 90 minutes, Josh Bott levelled for Harborough taking the tie into extra time. It was not to be for the Andrews as James Lawton added Harboroughs’ second to put them in the next round. Aylestone Park defeated Desford 4-2 with the goals coming from Kieran Cooper, Jake Wormleighton, Josh Atkinson and Kane Duncan. Desfords’ replies coming from Kyran Wilcox and Ellis Weston. Coalville Town Ravens had a walkover as their opponents, Lutterworth Athletic Academy couldn’t field a team. Ashby Ivanhoe v Loughborough Dynamo was postponed due to Dynamos’ exploits in the FA Youth Cup and will now be played next week.
