Details for your pre-season friendlies
Please remember that you are required to seek sanction for all your pre-season friendlies from the WRCFA.
Also please find below further details regarding cautions & suspensions (Released by WRCFA).
Dear Colleague,
I am writing to bring your attention to new regulations relating to dismissals and suspensions arising from Friendly matches (including
pre-season friendly matches) which come into immediate effect.
Any player dismissed from the Field of Play will now be suspended
automatically from only Friendly Matches until such time as his Club has
completed its next Friendly Match, as decided by The Football
Association or relevant County Association.
Any Red/Yellow cards do not count for the accumulation of offences and
will not affect the Clubs competitive fixtures.
Where sanctions are imposed in respect of cautions on Participants with
their agreement (e.g. as part of tournament rules), any such sanction may only apply to Friendly Matches and shall not apply to First Team
Competitive Matches or Non First Team Matches.
Clubs should however be aware that a charge of Misconduct pursuant to
Rule E3 of the Rules of The Association may be brought against a Player
in relation to any incident arising in a Friendly Match that the
relevant Association considers appropriate.
A Regulatory Commission or County Disciplinary Commission considering a
charge under Rule E3 in such circumstances shall have regard to any
punishment imposed and shall be free to impose a suspension which may
affect competitive fixtures. at its discretion.
As a referee, this will assist you in your match day duties in pre
season friendlies and that there is absolutely no reason why a Referee
cannot carry out their duties appropriately in accordance with the Laws
of the Game at all times.
I wish you all well for a successful Season
