A preview to this weeks fixtures in the Birmingham Communities League

Two games this week in the BCL both being played at Heartlands Academy. This weekend sees bottom of the table Druids Heath FC take on one of the BCL's longest serving teams Kurdish FC at 12:30. Following that game will see two new comers to the BCL North Birmingham Celtic and Roots FC kicking off at 2:30pm.

First to Druids Heath vs Kurdish, Druids Heath will be desperate to get off the mark in the BCL having not managed a point so far this season but this will see them come up against tough and experienced opponents in a Kurdish team who have not quite lived up to expectation so far this season. The Kurdish side will have had their eyes on the top spots in the league but defeats against HES and Athletic Midlands have disrupted their lofty ambitions set out by manager Rasul at the start of this season. A win for the Kurds will take them level on points with Start Again FC in third and back on track with their season. A Druids Heath win will take them level on points with HES in ninth.

North Birmingham Celtic vs Roots pits two newcomers to the BCL set up in what could be defining games for both teams. Roots will want to overcome the disappointment of a difficult loss to Athletic Midlands in their last game and re-establish their early season form to sit a point behind Start Again FC with a game in hand should they win. However North Birmingham Celtic have shown improvement in recent weeks and if they can convert more of the chances they create they will definitely raise some eye brows and even be late challengers to the top teams in the BCL. This game has all the potential to be an open faced paced game, but which team will it suit?
