The rules and procedures for fixture postponements

If you need to request a postponement please can you email the fixtures secretary at lwglfixtures@gmail.com setting out the date, opposition and reason for postponement.

Remember you are allowed two postponements per season (this does not apply to the adult divisions) but you should give 14 days’ notice to avoid a financial penalty. Less than 4 days’ notice and the points will be awarded to the opposition (not applicable to development age groups – U11 and younger - obviously).

Weather-related postponements do not count towards the two allowed in the season.

Where (for whatever reason) a postponement is less than a week before the fixture (and therefore where you should have notified the opposition of arrangements) please can you make sure the opposition are aware of the postponement. (This means more than just sending an email; if you do not receive acknowledgement then make a phone call.) Likewise, please ensure the referee is aware. (It is the home team’s responsibility to contact the referee regardless of who postpones.)

Thank you.
