The Blues returned to action for the double header against Ice Sports last Sunday. Sam had a few selection headaches with Evan and Ben missing through injury/illness and more importantly who was going to ref the 2nd game.

The Blues started well and to be honest dominated most of the game. Keiran and Callum began the game well with Keiron making one of the best sliding tackles you'll see at this level to prevent an Ice Sports goal scoring opportunity. Zak opened the scoring half way through the 1st half after a few great runs and some long range efforts. His hard work and persistence paid off with a super run before slotting the ball pass the Ice Sports keeper. Lewis then made it 2-0 just before half time.

Sam made 2 changes in the 2nd half with Owen coming on for Ryan and Riley for Lewis, his tactics paid off almost straight away as Owen made several excellent runs and really did deserve a goal for his hard work, but it was Zak who made it 3-0 with another superb finish. Owen, having one of his best games in a Blues shirt was making their keeper work with 2 fantastic runs and shots on goal before super sub Riley stepped up to make it 4-0 with his first touch and soon after added his second and The Blues 5th. As the game came to an end Ice Sports did test Dillon with a nicely taken free kick but our keeper was up to the test pulling off a fine save. Final Score 5-0

Well Done Blues!!!!!!!

Man of the Match - Owen
Player of the Week - Dillon
