The Blues returned after the Christmas break for their 2nd round Cup match against Netley Royals. Sam had a full squad to choose from and confidence was high after their strong end to 2011.

The Blues started slowly and slightly sluggish and to be honest never really got into any kind of rhythm, Owen had our first effort on goal shooting just wide after a corner kick from Zak. Dillon pulled off 2 decent saves but it was Netley who took the lead mid way through the first half. A decent cross was met by a great header which would eventully become the match winner.

Sam made nurmous subitutions throughout the game in a attempt to change the score but it wasn't to be. The only highlight of the 2nd half was Evans audacious lob from outside the box which did test their keeper.

Come one Blues, we must bounce back from this!!

As the old saying goes, Out of the cup allows us to concentrate on the league.

Well Done Blues!!
