Sam asked the boys to forget about their 1st game and concentrate on their mid table clash with Hedge End Cougars. A win would put the Blues in a great position with 4 games left to go.

Owen was asked to replace Lewis in goal as he took up his usual position up front and It wasn't long before the Blues got into their stride. Keiran and Callum were protecting there keeper well, Ryan battled hard in midfield with Zak and Lewis causing problems up front and it was the latter two who made the break through mid way through the 1st half. Zak made a great run down the left hand side and played a superb pass to Lewis who fired the ball into the top left hand corner of the net to put his side 1 up. Zak, full of mischief had an effort go just wide, Ryan had a shot well saved from their keeper and Lewis after a great run managed to scoop the ball over the cross bar. Owen pulled off a few good saves as the Blues ended the 1st half 1-0.

After a slow start to the 2nd half and a few changes it was Ryan who made the 1st break, he ran with the ball for the whole length of the pitch but was denied a goal by the Cougers keeper. Riley put his side 2 up moments later after a superb pass from Keiran and it wasn't long before the Blues added a 3rd goal as Riley slotted home from a rebound off their keeper.

3 goals and a clean sheet, the race for 2nd spot is on!!
