With a new name, a new player, new captain and some fancy new boots on show the Saints returned to league action after the summer break. Sam found himself with a few selection problems with 4 players missing meaning all remaining 7 players would have to play all of both games.

Littleton Lions were up first with Lewis dropping back into midfield meaning a start up front for Riley. New boy William took his place in the centre of defence alongside Keiran.

The game started in a lively fashion with both teams creating early chances. Lewis made a number of runs down the left wing and Owen pulled off some strong tackles to shake the Lions up. It wasn't long before the Saints found themselves 1 - 0 down, a decent corner was met with a volley which gave Dylan no chance. Sam needed his team to step up and battle hard for every ball, Captain Callum leading by example took strong free kicks and corners which nearly helped his team draw level. Just before the break Dylan pulled off a fine save but the half ended 1 - 0 to the Lions.

From the re start the Saints attacked the Lions goal, Riley looking dangerous up front made their keeper work and it wasn't long before the Saints drew
level, a Callum free kick was flicked on by Lewis and Riley popped up to score his first goal of the season to make it 1 - 1.

Despite their best efforts the Saints soon found themselves 2 - 1 down with the game ending 3-1 to the Lions.

Unlucky Saints!
Keeping the Faith!!
