Braintree and Bocking denied victory in penalty shoot out

Braintree and Bocking United were denied victory in the Essex Saturday Ju nior Cup Final after losing 4-3 on penalties to Kelevedon Hatch F.C. Reserves from the Olympian League, who ironically were knocked out of the competition at the semi fianl stage only to be reinstated when their opponents were found to have breached the rules.
The game finished 3-3 after extra time, Braintree were only minutes away from victory when a last gasp free kick saw Kelevdon equalise in extra time.
In a tense penalty shoot out Kelvedon gained the early advantage with Braintree missing their first attempt but with their last penalty of the alloted 5 Braintree had the chance to secure victory that was saved, Kelvedon then converted in sudden death and a further miss saw the trophy go to the EOFL side
