Haver Town add their name to the Trophy

The Premier Division and Dave Strachan Cup winners kicked off the season as Haver Town F.C. took on Sandon Royals F.C. in the Mid-Essex League Trophy fixture played at White Notley F.C.

A game played in great spirit saw Haver Town lift the trophy. Haver took the lead just before the end of the first half and increased their lead after 65 minutes.

With 15 minutes remaining Sandon were awarded a penalty, this was saved, but from the resulting corner reduced the deficit.

As Sandon pushed for the equaliser Haver added a third deep into injury time.
