Haver Town win in extra time

Boreham F.C. 3 Haver Town F.C. Reserves 5

A sizeable crowd were royally treated to a classic encounter which was eventually won in the extra 30 minutes by Haver Town Reserves in their first season with the competition

This game will be remembered for some quality finishing and some of the best goals which have been witnessed at a Mid-Essex Cup Final for many a year

It was honours even at half time after Haver had taken the lead only for an own goal to bring the sides level before the break

Boreham got their noses in front early in the second half only for Haver to draw level and so send the final into extra time

Both sides managed to score again in the first period of extra time but will players going down with cramp all over the pitch Haver managed to finished the stronger of the two sides and netted two further goals to secure the trophy
