Haver Town triumph to secure Premier trophy

Haver Town started the better of the two sides, who largely cancelled each other out, with both teams closing down quickly. The first shot on goal did not come until the 25th minute, which Souster in Beacon Hill's goal saved down to his right.

At the other end Browning should have put Beacon Hill in front when clean through on goal, but Haver's Billy Eury easily gathered his attempted chip. Each sides exchanged shots from outside the box, but neither troubled the keepers and it looked like being a stalemate at half time. Just before the break however, some clever interplay down Haver's left opened up the Beacon Hill defence and Jimmy Zirfas slotted home neatly to put Haver one up.

Haver were happy to soak up anything Beacon Hill could muster in the second half, and looked dangerous on the break. In particular Dean Peck could have done better, firstly firing wide of the left hand post and then repeating the trick to the right side.

Substitute George Hart had an effort deflect wide for Beacon Hill and Haver Town's Peck shot straight at the keeper when well placed, whilst Eury got his hands on Swanborough's goal bound effort and the ball drifted just wide with no one able to apply the finishing touch.

Haver wrapped the game up right on full time, when the aptly named Lloyd Perfect nodded home a set piece to secure the silverware for his side with a 2-0 victory.

Praise must got to referee , Kadir Nazif, who put in a faultless display, ably aided by his two assistants, Ian Butler and James Garwood
