Cumbria Women's League will not have a Women's Division for season 2014/15.

The League are very disappointed that there will be no women playing in the Cumbria Women's League during season 2014/15.

Due to a number of factors and despite a new Club entering the league, there were not enough teams to run a league.
From last season, runners up Workington Reds Ladies were promoted to the North West Women's Regional Football League after applying for the promotion pool; Barrow Celtic entered the Lancashire County League and Crown Newlaithes entered the Northumberland County League. Keswick FC and Carlisle City resigned from the CWL. This left Abbeytown Women and Whitehaven Miners Social FC.

CWL are working closely with Cumberland FA to offer opportunities for players aged 16 and over during the coming season. Cumberland FA will be hosting a 'Womens Player Conference' at the end of August. For more information please click here: http://www.cumberlandfa.com/news/2014/jul/the-future-of-womens-football
