Postponements due to weather and or ground conditions guidelines and contact details.

The attached document gives guidance to clubs and referees when considering postponing a match due to the prevailing weather conditions or the state of the playing surface. The following key points should be noted:

1. If you own or have control of the pitch then a local referee must be used to make the decision as to whether the surface is playable. If he says 'play' the match referee on arrival may reverse this decision.

2. If you are subject to the decision of your landlord (council, leisure center etc.) if they say 'no game' then their decision is final. If they say 'play' then again the match referee on arrival may reverse this decision.

3. If the game is off the following are to be informed:

Your opposition.
The match Referee
The Referee's Appointer
The League Fixtures Secretary
The League Registration Secretary
