League statement on the sudden and shocking death of our Chairman, Bob Leedham

Bob Leedham, or Bon Bon Bob as we affectionately called him, was at the very heart of football in Halifax and Calderdale.
He was a referee and became Referee's Appointments Secretary for the Halifax Sunday League in 2005. He also looked after refereeing assessments for the Halifax District FA and served as a Council Member on the West Riding County FA.
He was very proud to have been voted Chairman of the Halifax Sunday League in June 2013.
A friend, colleague, referee, football fan, Bob was in the truest and most genuine sense a football person, one of the good guys, who tried his best and gave his all for the benefit of those who wanted to play local football.
Our thoughts are with his wife Gemma as she recovers and the rest of the family.
The feeling of loss to all who knew Bob is impossible to adequately capture. We will all miss Bob, his enthusiasm, jokes, and love of football.
Bob - a man many of us were privileged to call a friend.
