Friday Night Elevens is coming to Newcastle. A bi-weekly flexible format league played on FIFA approved 3g central venues.

There is new way to get your 11-a-side football fix coming to our county. In adult football many players now report they are unable to regularly play 11-a-side football at the traditional times due to work, family, or other leisure commitments. This is highlighted by the average squad size of an adult male team increasing from 16 players to 24 players in recent years. This suggests people still want to play 11-a-side football but are unable to do so as frequently as they once could. In April a new 3G central venue, bi-weekly, flexible-format, league will start to provide a new opportunity to those who wish to play 11-a-side football but currently are unable to do so regularly.

The league is open to all, including:
• Existing clubs who may wish to start a ‘casuals’ side for part-time players, new players, ex-players, or even coaches.
• Teams who have recently folded but are thinking about starting again
• New teams looking for a way to start playing.
• Teams awarded a Grow the Game grant for 2015/16 and want to get a head start on forming and playing.
• Work teams.
• Groups of friends.
• ‘Parents & coaches team’ from junior clubs.
• Small-sided football teams looking expand into 11v11
