Stephen Greer scored the only goal of the game as Heywood Irish Centre beat Scholes. Shelley remain rooted to the bottom of the table losing 2-1 to Slaithwaite United whose goals were scored by Ashley Beardsall and Tom Dyson with Darryl Senior scoring for Shelley. Charlie Auty and Tom Radley scored for Skelmanthorpe as they beat Diggle 2-1. Berry Brow travelled to Fothergill and Whittles and were beaten 4-1 with a fine hattrick from Liam Howcroft and a goal from Ben Jorgensen. Joe Brennan scored a consolation goal for Berry Brow.
Almondbury Woolpack climbed further from the foot of the division 2 table with a point from an Ashley Randle goal in a 1-1 draw at bottom club Marsh United. Netherton stay second after goals from Joel Rushworth, Ryan Burchael (two), and Tyler Broscombe earned the points in a 4-1 win over Cumberworth. Aaron Moore scoring for Cumberworth. Kirkburton move up to fifth with games in hand as they comprehensively beat Lepton Highlanders 6-0 with goals from Rowan Dickinson, Jack Goring, Henry Philpot and a hattrick from Jack Wood. Jonny Crowther, Tom White and Nick Walsh (two) scored for AFC Lindley as they stay third in a 4-1 win over fourth placed Kirkheaton Rovers whose goal was scored by Jonathan Askin. Matthew Sykes (two) and Nicholas Townend were on the mark for Huddersfield Laund Hill in their 3-3 draw with neighbours Britannia Sports whose goals were scored by Jake Waterson (two) and Harry Castledine. The evergreen Kieran Lenihan stepped in as a makeshift centre back for Britannia and was rewarded with the man of the match award. Dalton Dynamos continued their pursuit of the division 2 championship and stay 12 points clear at the top with a 4-1 win over Holme Valley Academicals with goals from Zack Dennis, Jordan Smith, Sam Tetley and Craig Thompson.
AFC Dalton gained their first point of the season in division 3 in a 2-2 draw with Marsden Cuckoos with John Conheeney scoring both for the Cuckoos. Hade Edge drew 0-0 with Grange Moor Saints and Moorside with goals from Joe Fagan and Jake Maddison drew 2-2 with Meltham Athletic whose goals came from Jack Ellis-Pownall and Toby Farrington.
The battle for the top of division 4 looks to be going to the wire with 3 clubs clear at the top of the table. Wooldale Wanderers lead by a point after beating Brighouse Athletic 6-3 with goals from Adam Summerscales (two), Eli Bell, Connor Castle, Oliver Haigh and Brian Moulds. Christopher Ashton, Harry Birro and Benjamin Whiteley scored Brighouse’s goals. AFC Volunteers are up to third despite going behind to a freak own goal at Dobcross recreation ground, home of second placed Saddleworth United. Second half goals from substitutes, Lewis Brierley, Evan Ladley and William Gregson saw them win the game 3-1. The prolific Jay Wells struck twice to reach 30 goals for the season as Mount beat Flockton 2-0 and West End Park with goals from Nathan Clarke, Niall Woodcock and Jonathan Asquith beat bottom club Holmfirth Town 3-2. Oliver Hughes, Jordan Boam, Daniel Woodhouse and George Ferris scored for Thorpe Giants in their 4-4 draw with Honley whose goals came from Sean Clegg, Tom Kitchen, Jermaine Edwards and Edward Hinchliffe.
In the reserve section, division 1 Dalton Dynamos lost 3-2 to Linthwaite Athletic whilst a Luke Stead brace was not enough for Heywood Irish Centre as they lost 4-2 to Scholes. Deighton went nap against Diggle running in 11 with Dominic McDonald-Webster scoring three of them in an 11-3 win.
Cumberworth top division 2 after goals from Joe Senior, Isaac Barker and David Turner saw them beat Almondbury Woolpack 3-0. Aaron Haigh, Tom Ryalls and Lewis Haigh scored for Scissett in their 3-0 win over Scholes A. Brook Motors moved up to fourth following goals from Richard Botchway, John Lodge (two), Greg Killock and Ryan Fisher in their 5-1 win over bottom club Holme Valley Academicals with Ben Bullas scoring the consolation for the Accies.
Stephen Njenga scored the only goal of the game that gave Berry Brow A the edge in their top of the table clash with Slaithwaite United. Hade Edge move up to third following a Rueben Barraclough goal giving them a 1-0 win over Deighton A. Naden Barden, Richard Alderson, Luke Berry, Jimmy Barden (two) and Matthew Heppleston scored as Skelmanthorpe beat bottom club Wooldale Wanderers 6-1. Grange Moor Saints with goals from Mika Evanson, Luca Stocks and Adam Wain beat Linthwaite A 3-0. Luke Williams hit a hattrick for Netherton A as they beat Mount 3-0.
Fothergill and Whittles A moved up to third in division 4 following a 6-3 win at Cumberworth B. Goals for Fothergills came from Adam Biggers, Ryan Davies, Thomas Hampshire, Tyler Pickersgill, Samuel Bridgewood and David Suddes with Cumberworth’s goals scored by Martin Phillips, David Roberts and Ashley Westwood. A Richard Hanvey hattrick for Berry Brow B saw off Honley in a 3-2 win with Honley’s goals coming from Ivan Fawcett-Gibson and Terry Murphy. Shepley are second after a goal from Ben Usher and a hattrick from Scott Sykes saw them take the points in a 4-1 win over Hade Edge A. Ethan McElroy scored for the Edge. Jake Cooper, Daniel Carr, Lewis Crank, Jack Harrison (two), Matthew Long and Andy Modeste scored for Kirkheaton Rovers in their 7-0 win over bottom club West End Park Development. In the Richardson Cup Berry Brow Reserves went through to the next round beating neighbours Netherton Reserves 8-1 with goals from Dean Siddiq (four), Lee Wharam, Kyle Forde and Angelo Piscitelli. Chris Mattimoe scored the consolation for Netherton.
Holmbridge battled through to the next round of the Barlow Cup with goals from Seb Allen, Max Morley and Sam Hobson in a 3-2 win at Linthwaite Athletic.
