Following a meeting of the members of the District League on Monday 8th March it was agreed by 40 votes for, 6 votes against with 9 abstentions to end the season and declare that it was Null and Void.

Following a meeting of the members of the District League on Monday 8th March it was agreed by 40 votes for, 6 votes against with 9 abstentions to end the season and declare that it was Null and Void. Other options were not supported so were not continued.
After the first vote it was then proposed that the League organise Champions League style cup competitions based on the divisions that currently compete for the various League cup competitions with a knock-out final stage. This was agreed by 44 votes for, 0 votes against with 9 abstentions. It was further agreed that the trophies would be the Barlow Cup (divisions 1 and 2 drawn in groups), Groom Cup (divisions 3 and 4 drawn in groups), Richardson Cup (reserve divisions 1 and 2 drawn in groups) and Gee Cup (reserve divisions 3 and 4 drawn in groups).
There would be semi-final and final matches played at neutral grounds with appropriate trophies and mementoes for players and match officials.
Group stage games would be played on Saturdays where possible with semi-finals and finals played on an evening.
Clubs were reminded that entry in to these competitions was NOT mandatory and purely optional and entries must be sent to the League secretary no later than Monday March 22nd so that the Fixture secretary could produce the fixtures.
Clubs were also informed that the League had been advised that friendly games were permitted by the FA and that existing insurance cover was still in operation until June 30th.
