Holmbridge stay top of division 1 following goals from Seb Allen, Rob Parr and Jordan Saville in their 3-2 win over 4th placed Berry Brow. Luke Gibson and Wayne Shooter scoring for the Brow.

Holmbridge stay top of division 1 following goals from Seb Allen, Rob Parr and Jordan Saville in their 3-2 win over 4th placed Berry Brow. Luke Gibson and Wayne Shooter scoring for the Brow. Unbeaten Newsome are second after a Samuel Wilkinson goal sealed the points in a 1-0 win over 3rd placed Linthwaite Athletic. A Jake Waterson brace secured the points for Britannia Sports at Skelmanthorpe in a 2-1 win. Chris Parker scored for Skelmanthorpe. Dalton Dynamos beat AFC Lindley 2-1.

Dareece Siddique (two) and Ben Stott (two) scored as Deighton went top of division 2 in their 4-1 over Lepton Highlanders. Moorside dropped down to second after their shock 5-2 defeat at home to Kirkheaton Rovers. Scorers for Kirkheaton were Ben Hallitt (two), Robert Holroyd, Nathan Wood and Jacob Buchanan whilst Zac Stansfield and Jason Evans scored for Moorside. David Ginty and Max Middleton scored as Almondbury Woolpack beat Diggle 2-1. Luke Peacock scored for Huddersfield LH as they drew 1-1 with Scissett.

Meltham Athletic stay top of division 3 with goals from Jack Thackeray, Joseph Morgan and Jack Ellis-Pownall in their 3-0 win at Brighouse Athletic. Honley are second following their 5-0 thumping of AFC Volunteers with goals from Ben Lindley (three) and Joe Burnley (two). Marsden went third following goals from Fraser Hepplestone, Oliver Ratcliffe and Joshua Smith in their 3-1 win over Saddleworth United. Tommy Bunn scoring the consolation for Saddleworth.

Connor Steele hit four as Dalton Dynamos went four points clear at the top of reserve division 1 following their 10-3 demolition of Heywood Irish Centre with Cav Joyce (two), Sean Cosgrove (two), Robert Davidson and Nathan Large scoring the other goals. Henry Bilton (two) and Elliott Webster scored for Kirkburton as they drew 3-3 with Newsome whose goals were scored by Chris Capone, Dale Myers and Sian Moses. Britannia Sports beat Cumberworth 2-1. Martin Hirst, Leevan Brown and Dominic McDonald-Webster scored as Deighton beat Linthwaite Athletic 3-2.

Brook Motors stay top of reserve division 2 following their 2-2 draw with neighbours Holme Valley Academicals with goals from Richard Hayton and Richard Botchway. Chris Easton and Charlie Moore scoring for the Accies. Meltham Athletic stay second with goals from Jude Shaw (three), James Hutchinson (two), Jonny Morgan (two) and Louis Polat in their 8-2 win at Grange Moor Saints. Jordan Wells scored both goals for the Saints. Berry Brow A had 7 different scorers in their 9-1 demolition of Cumberworth A. In the battle of the “A” teams Linthwaite Athletic drew 3-3 with Netherton. Joseph Penrose (two) and Samuel Scarfe scored for Scissett as they beat Slaithwaite United 3-1 with Joshua Roberts scoring for Slowit.

Leigh Miller (four), Simeon Fletcher (two), Tomi-Mac Creaghan, Piotr Jatczak, Alex Hall and Patrick Carmichael scored as Dalton Dynamos A went four points clear at the top of reserve division 3 in a 10-2 win over Almondbury Woolpack. Aidan Harvey-Franklin and Liam Hanson scoring for the Woolpack. Luke Woodward hit a hattrick as Diggle beat Honley 7-3.

In the Huddersfield FA Challenge Cup, Nathan Eastwood (four), Kieron Mayall (two), and Patrick Clarke-Spears scored as Heywood Irish Centre went through to the next round beating Brook Motors 7-4. Dylan Brett, Ashley Hyde (two) and Matthew Hill scoring for the Motors. A Tristan Samuda goal was not enough as Mount went out at the first hurdle losing 6-1 to Kirkburton. Netherton went out in a high scoring game 6-3 to Slaithwaite United whose goals were scored by Ben Boulton (four), Dominik Moorhouse and Ashley Beardsall. Joel Denton, Ryan Burchael and Joel Rushworth scoring for Netherton.

Josh Armitage (two) and Richard Hird scored for Brook Motors Development as they went through to the next round of the Huddersfield FA Challenge Trophy winning 3-0 against Skelmanthorpe. Daniel Carr, Reece Nyland (two) and Lewis Crank (two) scored for Kirkheaton Rovers as they went through beating Berry Brow B 5-3. Adam Fell, Benjamin Lodge and Richard Hanvey scoring for the Brow.

In the Sheffield FA Junior Challenge Cup, it was a disappointing day for our clubs as Cumberworth were beaten 3-0 by Nostell Miners Welfare Thirds from the Wakefield and District League. Grange Moor Saints lost to 3-2 to Doncaster Football League side AFC Bentley. Wooldale Wanderers were beaten 2-1 by Thurgoland Welfare from Sheffield and District Friendly League and Shepley lost 5-4 to Kiveton Park Vets from the Wragg Over 35’s League.
