MBDA Complete Double...

MBDA were victorious at the weekend to complete their divisional double, writes Darren “Statto” Jones (statto@cssfl.info, www.cssfl.info).

Division One Cup:
The league held its third final on Friday night at Top Field Stadium, home of Hitchin Town FC. MBDA were quick out of the blocks and only a couple of great saves from their former ‘keeper Dan Barrett kept the score sheet blank. Lifestyles also had chances, but were off target, with Andy Gibb also making a save. Finally, Craig Sutherill broke the deadlock, finishing emphatically from close range. Gary Hodgson made it two from ten yards with his lethal left foot, before Ross Walker grabbed the third before the break. Sutherill got his head on the end of a free-kick to glance the ball over Barrett before top scorer Ashley Kersey was finally in on the act to net the fifth. Substitute Charlie Lawson grabbed the final goal, ghosting in at the back post. With the ball dropping loose from a corner, Joe Chilton knocked it home for Lifestyles, but it was scant consolation as it finished 6-1 to MBDA as they completed the Division One ‘double’.
