Goals Galore in the Premier... There were 31 goals in just four games in the Premier Division on Sunday, writes Darren “Statto” Jones (statto@cssfl.info, www.cssfl.info).

The most dramatic game reported saw FC Fourteen get their first point of the season in dramatic style as Oneness defender Dean Greenough sliced the ball into his own net in stoppage-time. FC had taken an early 2-0 lead through a Freddie Robinson brace. Liam Castle immediately pulled a goal back, before Sam Stephenson equalised. Kenny Slack’s slip let in Robinson for his hat-trick, before the goal of the game saw Oneness level at 3-3 with a couple of minutes to go, Ricky Case weaving past several players before sliding the ball home. Case then fed Stephenson for his second and it looked like FC would end pointless again, until the own goal.

Dun Cow are still top of the pile after their blip last week. Adam Furness hit a hat-trick, whilst Carl Fletcher, James Reeves and Theo Swaine also netted against Nirankari, for whom a Scott Orphanou hat-trick was in vain.

Lifestyles continued their impressive start with an amazing 5-4 win over Broadhall Athletic to sit second. Dan Bond (two), Ryan Ellis, Mitch Pagett and Rhys Ratcliffe were on target. Luthaw Oyejobi (two), Scott Durham and Harry Grint replied.

MBDA are fourth after a Ross Walker hat-trick put paid to MKS Carpentry’ resistance. Kyle Watson and Ryan Stewart completed the scoring in the 5-0 win.

Division One leaders Pig and Whistle made it six-outta-six with a 3-2 win over Brackas. The Lock brothers did the damage again as Terry (two) and Jimmy netted. Alex Zoltan-Nagy and substitute Jason Smith replied.

Aspire Personal Training are still second, but lost ground on the leaders after a poor first-half against MSC Active. George Collins and Toby Willis put MSC two-up before a low cross hit Jack Payne on the shin and flew into his own net for three. Aspire came out fast after the break, with Michael Difford hitting the post early on, before Munesh Singh poked the ball to Difford, whose first time shot from 30 yards flew into the top corner. They pressed and pressed and got another ten minutes from time after Brad Ashby headed home a Lee Hilliard corner, but MSC held on to win 3-2.

Almond Tree are third after Louis Gilbert struck four times in a 6-3 win over Royal Oak. Ant Lloyd and substitute James Merry grabbed the others. Rob Smith (two) and Tom Younger were on target for Oak.

Josh Bartlett, Alex Elmes, Matt Jackson and Andy McCracken were on target in GJ Auto Broadhall’s 4-2 win over Leisure Leagues Herts. Luke Gumble and Ben Gumble replied.

Marquis of Lorne South were roundly beaten 5-1 at Hammer Reserves in the Herts Intermediate Cup. Danny Westell scored the consolation.
