Congratulations to all teams for a fantastic opening round of fixtures with some very competitive games played out in both divisions.

In #FFLONE 2 Goals 1 Cup XI are the early pace setters after a barnstorming 7-1 victory over floodlight league regulars Beresford Athletic. Despite being confidant about gaining a positive result the late withdrawal of four players meant that Athletic were going to in the game under cooked something which was compounded by a missed a penalty and hitting the crossbar twice. 2 Goals 1 Cup march on though with the team and manager extremely happy with their opening result.

#FFL new boys Ladzio had a tough opening fixture when they faced one time champions HUBS Utd at Kingswood Academy. Despite acquitting themselves very well Ladzio rarely threatened the United goalkeeper, something which HUBS exploited clinically with Shaun Urry, Jonny Slater and a Ladzio own goal ultimately proving to be the difference between the two sides.

The two other games in #FFLONE saw Moyes in the Hood come out on top in the Bradley 'Classico' whilst Real Flames lit up the division with a fine 2-1 win against Athletico Forest.

In #FFLTWO Benidorm Canaries ran out winners against a resilient Lambwath side. Despite having much of the game Lambwath were guilty of missing two guilt edged chances which were punished by the awarding of a penalty to the Canaries who were certainly not going to miss the opportunity to take all three points from 12 yards out.

Monday night new comers Whammy FC dispatched fellow new boys FC Promo 3-1 whilst Sporting John Mith started their campaign on a high after proving extremely clinical in front of goal against FC Stella.

The remaining game in #FFLTWO saw Long Riston and Salthouse Tavern play out an entertaining 1-1 draw. Both teams will feel that they had chances to take all three points but will probably agree that a draw was the fairest result.
