IT IS WITH THE GREATEST SADNESS THAT I INFORM YOU OF THE SUDDEN DEATH OF LEAGUE CHAIRMAN AND LIFE MEMBER GEORGE WAUGH ON THURSDAY 22ND MARCH 2007.

I have no words that can express my heartache at the sudden death of George; he was a true friend and fellow Scotsman.

George gave so much and asked for nothing in return, he love the League and his commitment and dedication was second to none, George will be greatly missed by so many.

I know when I say that everyone involved with the League, Officials, Player's,
Referees, supporters and everyone that knew George would like me to extend our deepest condolences to George's wife and family at this time and that our thoughts and prayers are with them.
