Teams who default in cup competition fixtures may forfeit their participation in fall-back competitions linked to the cup competition in which they defaulted. In seeded knock-out competitions where the losing teams fall-back into a lower level competition, an unseeded team who wins a fixture due to a seeded team defaulting may still fall-back into the lower level competition if they prefer and the League agrees, allowing the seeded team to progress in the higher level competition
