Rockleaze Rangers Reserves who have had a difficult first half of the season appointed Zaki Elgahmi as their new Manager for the game against Southmead CS Athletic at Pen Park, Elgahmi started with a 3 1 win their second win of the season thanks to goals from Jon Webb, Jordan Dent and Matt Harrison, Oktawian Gala scored the Athletic consolation goal

Although we have reached mid February because of Gloucestershire and Somerset County Cups, League Cups and especially inclement weather some teams have only played six League games

Credit must go to Josh Selby Secretary of Bristol Spartak who realised in mid week that his Premier Division game against Easton Cowboys was in doubt because of the weather agreed with the Cowboys to kick off at 12 noon and play on the 3g surface at South Bristol Sports Centre, they were rewarded for their enterprise with a 2 0 win to move into second place, Jay Selway and an own goal were the Spartak goalscorers

Because of the weather no games were played in the Senior Division

In the top of the table clash at Hillside Gardens second placed Rockkeaze Rangers A moved into pole position in Division One with a 2 0 win over previous leaders Avonmouth Reserves, Jamie Fielding scored both the Rangers goals

Ollie Hatwell bagged a brace for Cadbury Heath Reserves but his goals were in vain as Little Stoke Reserves won by the odd goal in five, a result that moves Little Stoke up to third place

Only one game was playable in Division Two with Wessex Wanderers Reserves playing only their second League game since November winning 3 0 at Lockleaze against Old Georgians, Tom Trimble, Cam Brice and Jayden Brown were the Wanderers marksmen

Division Three leaders Socius United dropped their first points since September, eleven successive wins was ended following a 3 3 draw with third placed Cutters Friday Reserves, Sam Payne 2 and Jack Szur were on target for the United

In Division Four the surprise result was Bristol Wanderers winning 5 1 at second placed Bedminster Down A, Jordan Edwards netted for Bedminster

Avonmouth A move up to fourth place courtesy of an odd goal in five victory over Easton Cowboys A at St Bedes School

James Wickham struck twice for Wessex Wanderers Colts who edged out Bromley Heath United A 3 2 at Lockleaze to end a run of five successive defeats, Jack Costerton gave Wessex an early lead from the penalty mark,

Alf Bosley Cup
Broad Plain House reached the semi finals of the Bosley Cup with a convincing 4 1 win at Sir Bernard Lovell School against Premier Division rivals Redbridge again on a 3g surface, Redbridge cause not helped by conceding two penalties and having two players sin binned

Len Bartlett Cup
An excellent team performance by Bitton A who shared four goals in 90 minutes with Red Falcons who have won all eight games played took the game to a penalty shoot out which Bitton won 5 3 to earn the right to play Stoke Gifford United A a game to be played next week

The value of 3g pitches was evident as the majority of games played was on 3g, hopefully we will get more of these pitches, credit must go to the teams as they move away from the regulated 2 pm kick offs to make sure they have a pitch available
