Report for Saturday 9th March
A spirited second half recovery gave newly reformed Southmead CS Athletic Reserves three goals to win 3 2 against Division Three leaders Socius United to reach the the Final of the Len Bartlett Cup, two Jack Szur goals gave Socius a 2 0 half time lead, Southmead backed by a large crowd at Lockleaze Sports Club hit back with goals from Ben Fry, Sam Sqirrell and Danny Simpson to put them 3 2 up, the United had a couple of chances to equalise but Southmead hung on to enter the final against Bedminster Down A or Bitton A who play this week

The current top two in the Premier Division are pushing for promotion to the Gloucester County League and both teams picked up maximum points

Tom Trimble gave Wessex Wanderers a first minute lead converting a through ball from Shane Rose against Southmead CS, only a brilliant save by Caderyrn Rendle in the 63rd minute kept their lead intact before a free kick from Trimble was headed in by captain Calum Rogers on 65 minutes to clinch the points

Leaders Filton Athletic have a three point lead with a game in hand and took their unbeaten League run to 16 months with a convincing 6 0 home win over Redbridge, Trey Merritt completed a hat trick with Fraser Venables, John Stevens and Jay Moore the other Athletic marksmen

Third placed Bristol Spartak lost by the odd goal in three at home to fourth placed Broad Plain House, Kyran Hunt was on target for Spartak

Henry Obiakor scored a hat trick for Easton Cowboys to help them to a 4 2 win at Headley Park, Emir Jones completed the scoring with Antonio Sanfilippo striking both goals for hosts St Aldhelms

Jordan Dent netted four goals for Rockleaze Rangers Reserves who picked up their third win of the season 6 2 at Lawrence Weston Athletic, Brandon Boontam and Dom Vieten were also on target for the Rangers

Senior Division leaders St Vallier have a ten point lead from Jamaica Bell who had goals from Kev de Cristofaro 2, Sam Harding, Ben Kwapong and an own goal in a 5 0 win at Ashton Vale against Parson Street OB's

In the local derby at Hengrove a single goal by George Vile was enough for visitors Mendip Broadwalk Reserves to earn all three points against Hengrove Reserves

Fishponds OB's travelled to Stockwood and returned with all three points courtesy of an odd goal in three victory over Stockwood Wanderers Reserves

It was a good day for Filton Athletic as the Reserves followed the first team with a big home win 6 0 over Almondsbury Reserves, Liam Dart 2, Jamie Barry, Harry Garrett and two own goals scored for Filton

Easton Cowboys Reserves moved away from the relegation positions beating Hartcliffe FC 2 1 thanks to goals from, Maelor James and Mustapha Nyang were the Cowboys marksmen

The three top teams in Division One were without games mainly caused by the weather fourth placed Phoenix NG shared four goals at AFC Bohemia, a free kick from Liban Hussein gave NG the lead before Bohemia hit back through Ali Lockyer and Simon Boss Johnson before Abdirizak Hussein brother of Liban scored the equaliser

Hangam Abbotonians Reserves played only their fifth League game of the Season and will have a big say in the top of the table having lost only one game they beat Saltford Reserves 4 0 thanks to strikes from Elliot Hagerty, Matt Glover, Marcus Roper and Jack Long

In the big game at the foot of the table St Aldhelms Reserves edged out Mendip Broadwalk A 2 1, Marcus Bebbington scored for Mendip

Ricky Clark 3 completed a hat trick for Red Falcons who won 7 0 at Fishponds OB's to maintain their 100% record, Jayden Rodway 2, Frankie Lewton and Reece John were the other Falcons marksmen

Dave Hill scored four times as Port of Bristol move up to third place beating Little Stoke A 6 2, Luca Papantoniou and Jordan Jenkins completed the scoring

With Division Four leaders Southmead in Cup action and second placed Avonmouth without a game third placed Bedminster Down A closed the gap with a convincing 4 1 home win over Easton Cowboys A

Claran Dougherty completed a hat trick for AC Moose who are in fourth place they beat AJA Athletic 7 0, Ben Jarvis, Nathan Godwin, Jack Coster and Aaron Cheung completed the scoring
