In Everards Brewery Division One, Hinckley LRFC Development remain top, but lost their 100% record as they lost 1-0 at home to Ingles Development, sub Keegan Crozet scoring the only goal of the game late on. Loughborough Students Development will go top if they beat Birstall United Reserves on Tuesday night at Holywell Park. With Kirby Muxloe Reserves on the sidelines, Loughborough Dynamo took advantage to go third, squeaking a 3-2 win at Sutton Bonington, Brayden Barr, Christian Brannam, Luke Howitt for Dynamo, Jack Tormey and Alex Ford for SB, who remain bottom of the table, a point behind Birstall Reserves, and two points behind Holwell Reserves, who slumped in the second half, shipping four goals without riposte after the break at home to St Patricks to lose 6-2, Jack Hickey (2), Jamie Bottomley, Brady Doherty, Daniel Higgins and sub Dominic Puttnam for Pats, Cailin Nolan & Max Fisher for Holwell, who had taken an early lead.
That wasn't the only comeback on a truncated weekend in Div1. Mountsorrel Amateurs came from behind at home to Dunton & Broughton United, having trailed 2-1 at half-time, coming back to win 4-3. Jake Folwell, George Morris-Clarke, Oliver Rowley and Liam Turner for Mountsorrel, Jamie Challinor, Ben Jackson and Harvey Staniszewski for DBU. Meanwhile, Taffy Pariwa and Callum Glover had given Sileby Town Reserves a 2-1 half-time lead at home to Barrow Town, but Barrow bounced back for the second week running to claim the points, winning 3-2, their goals coming from Tramain Byron (2) and Harry Caldwell.
In Everards Brewery Division Two, leaders Brookside Athletic lost their 100% record, as did their opponents Community Football Academy, the two sides playing out a 2-2 draw. Adam Modan's brace had given Community a 2-0 lead at half-time at Judgemeadow, but goals from Muhammed Ebrahim and sub Ben Anstee in the second half gave Brookside a share of the points. That leaves Div1's Loughborough Students as the last side with a 100% record this term in the LSL,. The draw also allowed Whetstone Athletic to move into second and close the gap to Brookside to three points, as they thumped Loughborough FC 6-0, a trio of braces for Taylor Blatchford, Harvey Coulson and Lewis Garner doing the damage. Community are also three points behind Brookside, but do have a game in hand. Hinckley Borough lost ground as they lost 3-0 at Rothley Imperial, Toby Wells scoring in the first half, and sub Connor Wills twice in the second.
There was no change at the bottom- Leicester United weren't in action, Luffs as mentioned lost, as did Barrow Town Reserves, who went down 4-2 at Friar Lane & Epworth Reserves, Orlando Berridge, Macaulley Cleaver-Hamill, Coby Keeling and Aaron Topliss for Lane, Saul Chaplin and Mitchell Stevens for Barrow.
The other two Div2 games both saw second-half turnarounds. Saikou Trawally gave Highfield Rangers Reserves the lead at Magna 73 Reserves, but Mason Brown and sub Isaac Ashade replied for Magna in the second half to give them a 2-1 win. It was a similar story at Hamilton Park, where visitors Glen Villa took the lead in the first half through Joe Ronchetti, but hosts Leicester Nirvana Reserves ended up 2-1 winners through Charvin Ambhire and Aseem Navas.
And that's it for the Ramble this week. There's two midweek games in Div1 on Tuesday night, but Ramble Round will return next week with the round-up of the weekend action. See you then.
