The NAPIT LEAGUE was more or less put on hold on Sunday although one game did go ahead at Mount St Mary's College Spinkhill where NAPIT THREE leaders West Killamarsh took on Matlock Town Wanderers. At the start of play Wests were just a point clear of AFC Bolsover, Bolsover having played two games more whilst Wanderers were fifth. In the corresponding fixture at the Dimple Ground in early September Wests had romped to an easy 6-1 victory, with leading goal scorer Liam Edge hitting a treble in the game and so began as firm favourites for the re-match.
The game itself didn't disappoint with both sides playing some excellent attacking football in a ten goal game. Although Edge did not find the target this time around West Killamarsh proved they are more than just a one trick pony as they scored six of the ten goals, thus ensuring victory with J Woodhead scoring twice, S Woodhead, Hanwell ,Reaney and Unwin once each. More importantly they moved four points clear at the top, crucially still having a game in hand over Bolsover.
