Defending NAPIT LEAGUE champions FC Britannia's season got under way seven days later than the rest of ONE and not in the manner they would have wished for as they were beaten by two goals to one by promoted Clowne Wanderers. Wanderers opened with a 2-2 draw at Hopflower Utd in which Regan Edridge was on target last week and he scored again along with Jake Ward as Britannia who only lost once throughout the 14/15 league season experienced defeat first time out this time around. Lee Clay hit a treble in Hasland Devonshire's opening day win and seven days later he repeated the feat as AFC Bolsover were trounced 7-0. Also finding the net for Devonshire were Neil Ashley who scored twice, Danny Mason and Ryan Booker. Cal Mowby blasted four goals past hapless Creswell Rose and Crown as they succumbed to a 6-2 defeat to Hepthorne Lane. Doe Lea drew 0-0 in their first game but on Sunday Joe Boggild scored three times as they won 4-2 at Tibshelf Town whilst Wingerworth BMB beat Hopflower Utd, Newton twice and Brown the scorers.

In TWO FC Utd of Bolsover and New Whitt both won for the second consecutive week. New Whitt were in fine scoring form as they put six past Crispin Casuals with Craig Burchall and Alex Shaw both scoring twice, Jack Yeomans and Reece Shaw one in their 6-2 win. Bolsover's victory came at Westend Killamarsh with Jack Weaver scoring twice, Ash Grayson once in a 3-1 victory. Brampton Rovers JMA began their campaign with a comfortable 7-2 win at Dronfield Woodhouse in which Ash Barber and James Roberts scored twice. In a tight game at Creswell Black Diamond Reserves it was visitors Matlock Town Wanderers who nicked the points with an odd goal win in five.

Renishaw MW followed up last week's 3-1 victory over AFC North Wingfield with a narrow 2-1 win over Oaks FC, Gavin Poulton and Danny Talbot's goals making it six points from six. In contrast Ark Tavern's season has begun with two straight defeats the second one coming at Hady Villa who beat them comfortably thanks to goals from Steve McMahon who hit two and Dan Shaw and Dean Issacs who scored one each. Pilsley Community and AFC North Wingfield played out a draw as did Hollingwood Athletic and New Inn Tupton. The former ended up 1-1 whilst Athletic and New Inn shared six goals as well as the points. Brimington Utd were beaten 4-1 by Red Lion Whitt Moor who led by four goals to nil at the interval. Utd were much stronger in the second half but they ended up with just a consolation goal from Matt Carnell to show for their effort.

Crown Killamarsh are the early season leaders in FOUR after they beat AFC Castle 4-1, their second victory in seven days. On target in the win were Holmes, Brown, Whitehouse and Majchrzak. Club FC also made it two wins from two with a victory over Duckmanton Commnity. Gary Brooks scored along with Steve Adams, an own goal helping towards the 3-1 win. Brampton Rovers Elliot Crowder scored twice as his side beat Butchers Arms by four goals to two. Brampton Oak Sports and New All Inn was a tight affair which the latter just shaded 4-3.

In FIVE Renihaw Rangers amazingly scored nine goals for the second week running. Last week Barlow Kingston Rovers were on the wrong end of a drubbing and Glapwell Gladiators suffered the same fate as the goals rained in. Luke Addlington scored twice, Ash Walters, Andrew Woolvern and James Jenkinson once as Grassmoor Sports also made it two wins from two games with a 5-1 victory at Gardeners Clay Cross likewise Bolsover Town's 3-1 win at Royal Oak Rangers saw them win two in two. Gareth Bannister and Lee Cook were on target for Harleys Scarlets as they beat Barlow 2-0 and Dronfield Wanderers beat Gate Inn North Wingfield 4-1.

Palterton Sporting Club's game with Hasland Community came to life early in the second half as a Will Holmes goal gave the hosts the lead and when Matt Hayes quickly added a second they were in control. However Hasland fought hard and goals from Dan Froggatt and Jordan Jackson drew them level but three minutes from time Holmes converted a penalty to clinch the win. Also in SIX Castle Arms recorded a narrow victory as the beat Evolution 4-3, Wayne Kirk two Mathew Marsh and Jamie Harris scoring the winning goals with Jack Warwick hitting a couple for Evolution. Rod Glovers hat trick led Steelmelters to a 4-1 win over Hasland WMC whilst Astwith All Stars Jordan Hunter scored twice in a 5-3 win at Lockoford Inn. Six goals and the points were shared by Woodthorpe Wanderers and Furnace Hill Hurricanes in a 3-3 drawn game.


Britannia Tupton top SEVEN after two games after they followed up their opening day victory with a 3-0 win at Renishaw Rangers TFC, Ant Redman, Mark Vine and Andy Brocklehurst on target. The winning goals were scored by Dan Gregory and Toby McClean as Darley Dale Red Star also made it two wins from two games with a 2-1 success over Anchor Clowne. New Bolsover Social Club beat Dronfield Town 6-2, Parry, Sweeny, Sanderson, Turner, Simpson and Carline the six scorers. Finally the game between Markham Arms and Newbold Community Football Training ended in a goal less draw.
