WYAFL games on certified 3G pitches

Some teams have previously refused to accept the home clubs proposals to play an allocated WYAFL fixture on an alternative 3G pitch when the home clubs ground is unfit due to bad weather conditions.

The league's rules (10B) approves and accepts the use of a 3G pitch if that pitch is certified and listed on the FA 3G pitch register (www,3g.thefa.me.uk). Individual and or personal preferences for or against 3G are not considered acceptable if the facility is an approved location.

All clubs should accept 3G options as an alternative in the current weather conditions. Those who reject the option should not expect to complain or object to a fixture backlog at the end of the season if they reject such arrangements at this stage. Teams should also be aware that such refusals in certain circumstances could be interpreted as deliberately failing to fulfil fixtures.
