The Bridge held up by Scaffolding

In the A division clash between Robertson Scaffolding versus The bridge, Robertsons ran out 3-2 victors. This was not one of Robertsons better performances but they certainly deserved the win, Robertsons started well but The Bridge scored against the run of play after Ryan Docherty made a fine save only for Phil Ormonde to score from the rebound.

Robertsons eventually managed to score from a Micky Urwin free kick, after wasting a couple of free kicks from similar positions. The Bridge were guilty of not playing to the whistle as Stevie Stephenson raced down the wing with The Bridge appealing for a throw in, but Stephenson carried on to plant a perfect cross into the box for Dave Smith to nod home. Stevie Stephenson again caused havoc on the right wing with his effort on goal turned into the net by a despairing Bridge defender to score the third.

The bridge did manage to pull one back late on with a strike from Carl Drew but it was too little too late and Robertsons went on to claim the three points with a 3-2 victory to consolidate their position in the league a point behind leaders Fad Continentals but with a game in hand.
